For decades, the relationship between Germany and France has been one of Europe’s most pivotal alliances. It’s not just about diplomacy and politics; it’s also about thriving business connections. The AHK Frankreich, or the German-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is at the heart of this economic bond, serving as a bridge between the two nations.

Established in 1955, the AHK Frankreich has been an unwavering advocate for robust bilateral trade, fostering a rich environment for economic collaboration and facilitating continuous knowledge exchange between Germany and France. Through conferences and discussion rounds, it promotes expert exchanges from both countries, initiating collaborations at entrepreneurial, institutional, and political levels. Events such as the German-French Economic Awards, the German-French Cultural and Creative Industries Award, the German-French Economic Day, and the German-French Vocational Training Day, all under the patronage of German and French ministries, highlight its commitment to fostering mutual growth.

For stakeholders in German-French economic relations, AHK Frankreich stands out as the first point of contact. It operates as a market-oriented service provider and consultant, catering to companies of all sizes across various sectors.

A Members’ Organization

With the trust of around 800 member companies, AHK Frankreich stands tall as the largest German-French network. Recognizing the value of face-to-face interactions in a digital age, it provides a platform for members to meet, exchange experiences, share ideas, and explore opportunities.

Representation of the German Economy

Being a central player in promoting Germany’s foreign economy on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, AHK Frankreich actively represents German economic interests. It leverages its influential contacts in French politics and administration to advocate effectively for its member companies’ economic concerns.

Network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad

AHK Frankreich is a proud member of the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKn), with a presence in 140 locations across 92 countries. Closely connected with the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKn), both IHKn and AHKn collectively support German companies in establishing and expanding their international economic relations. The umbrella organization for IHKn and AHKn is the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). Owing to a resolution of the German Bundestag, AHKn receives proportional funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

The AHK Frankreich, in all its endeavors, builds bridges, opens doors, and adds value to its member companies and clients. By facilitating knowledge transfer and creating business opportunities, it remains a neutral partner for German and French companies, representing and promoting their interests at the intersection of economy and politics. The future of Franco-German business relations is indeed promising, with AHK Frankreich at its helm.
